Life in Wingen Prison was bleak. Lutheran, or Lut as most people called him, had been in the prison for his whole life and worked at the sawmill as soon as he could carry the logs. But as Lut grows into his teens, weird things started to happen to him.
He knew he was the grandson a magi, the name for a person able to control the arcane element, which was the very reason he was in prison. He had never trained in the ways of the magi, never even been able to control the simplest of elements, and yet when his temper boiled over, his hands shot a shade of purple, the so-called arcane color.
